Students can receive scholarships in return for effective YouTube videos
Enrolling in a Christian university or college can be expensive, but scholarships can definitely lower students’ tuition costs. In fact, one new opportunity from Higher One CARES (Community Action for Resources Education and Service) will help 20 individuals each take $2,500 off their school fees, according to a Higher One press release.
Whether students are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree at Christian colleges and universities, they are welcome to apply to the One Scholarship competition. To be eligible, candidates must explain how they have overcome obstacles on their way to making their educational goals a reality. Applicants can tell their stories via videos on either YouTube or Vimeo.
“It’s been inspiring in years past to see the wealth of submissions from students all over the country who were working hard to overcome very personal or financial hurdles to get an education,” said Miles Lasater, Higher One’s co-founder and chief operating officer.
If students have an interest in this opportunity, they have until April 30 to apply for the One Scholarship via Higher One’s website.
