Renowned evangelist to participate in Liberty University's commencement ceremonies
A great way prospective students can get to know a Christian university is to attend the school’s commencement ceremony and get a sense of the institution’s community and values. Even if those who are visiting decide not to enroll, they may still have a chance to hear from inspiring Christians.
For instance, Virginia’s Liberty University will hold its commencement ceremony on May 12. While the event’s keynote speaker has yet to be announced, the school has said that Luis Palau will serve as the keynote speaker for Liberty’s Baccalaureate Service, which will be held one day prior, according to a press release.
Over the course of his lengthy career, Palau has ministered in more than 73 countries, authored more than 40 books, appeared across media outlets and dedicated his life to presenting the claims of Jesus Christ.
“Dr. Palau is among the most influential Christian leaders of all time,” said Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr. “For more than 50 years he has preached the Gospel around the globe, touching the lives of more than 1 billion people.”
As most graduations are open to the public, anybody who has an interest in applying to Christian colleges and universities may want to consider attending one of their commencement ceremonies.
