Pay attention to school websites for information on transfer events
If students of faith wish to transfer into a Christian university or college, they have likely visited these institutions’ websites to learn more about the types of programs and activities they have to offer. However, once they decide which schools they will apply to, prospective transfer students should continue to pay attention to these websites’ “Events” page, as this is where they may find the dates for everything from transfer fairs to information sessions.
Most institutions host college fairs of some kind. However, some schools, such as community colleges, take part in or host transfer fairs for students who are thinking about a change of scenery. During these events, those in attendance typically learn about the steps involved in the transfer process, as well as the types of financial aid available to students.
When visiting the websites of Christian colleges and universities, students may also learn about upcoming information sessions that are designed especially for transfer students. Similar to transfer fairs, these sessions provide prospective degree seekers with an overview of what they can expect at a school, and offer them a chance to ask questions. A campus tour is often included in a transfer information session, so visitors can get a full sense of the institution they could end up attending.
